Community evenings and free talks
Group acupuncture on a sliding scale, plus free talks that explain how we work. Everyone is welcome, and nobody has to prove they need the lower price.

How a community evening works
Recliners, quiet and a sliding scale
Every other Thursday from 5:30 to 8:00 pm we set up eight reclining chairs in the community room. Maren treats several people at once, using points on your arms, legs, ears and head, so you stay clothed and sit in a chair for about an hour.
Pay between $30 and $60, whatever works that evening, at the end. Cash, card or check. First time? Come 10 minutes early and Maren will ask a few questions first.
- Reserve a recliner, or walk in if one is free
- Pay $30 to $60, your choice
- Tea and a quiet minute afterward
Reserve a recliner
Eight recliners an evening. Reserving holds yours, and the waitlist moves up if someone cancels. Pay at the end, $30 to $60.

About community evenings
Do I need to reserve for community evenings?
It’s best to, because there are eight recliners. Reserving holds yours and puts you on the waitlist if it’s full. Walk-ins are welcome when a recliner is free.
Is a community evening private?
You’ll be in a room with other people, clothed, in a quiet recliner. It’s not a place for a private conversation. If you want one, book a private visit.
What do I wear to a community evening?
Loose clothes you can roll up to the knee and elbow. Points are on the arms, legs, ears and head. Bring a sweater; many people get cool as they relax.
Prefer a private visit?
A quiet room, a longer conversation and a time that suits you.
